Life Story

Kenneth Bradley Sr., affectionately known as Kenny to his family and friends, was born January 7, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Clark Dale Bradley Sr. and Mamie Louise Bradley. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Angela and Sandra; brothers, Clark Dale Jr. and Ray ; and infant son, Aaron Michael Bradley. Kenny accepted the Lord as his Savior and was a child of God. He was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools and graduated from Soldan High School in 1979. While at Soldan, Kenny excelled in the marching band as a trombone player. After developing a foot ailment, he adjusted his marching style, creating a unique step that soon became so popular that the entire band began to imitate him. Following high school, Kenny enlisted in the United States Army in 1979 and proudly served his country until 1984. He attained the rank of Specialist Four (SP4) and received an honorable discharge. His military record included Marksman qualification with the M-16 rifle and Sharpshooter qualification with the hand grenade. He later worked for Cross Janitorial Services before becoming an entrepreneur and co-owner of K & M Janitorial Services with his brother-in-law, Melvin Perry Sr. In 1998, Kenny began his 22-year career with the United States Postal Service, where he faithfully worked until his retirement in 2020. Kenny was a devoted father and family man who took great pride in his children and family. He was the proud father of five sons: his eldest, Schuyler; 3 sons; Kenneth Jr., Joseph, and Marcus, born during his union with Celeste Denise; and his youngest son, Brandon, born during his marriage to the love of his life, Jamesanna Bradley. Kenny also lovingly embraced his bonus children, Danée, Dionne, and Terrell, whom he cherished as his own. Kenny enjoyed fishing, working on cars, helping others, vacationing at Lake of the Ozarks, and listening to the blues. Kenny also loved listening and dancing with his wife Jamesanna to Anita Baker. He was exceptionally handy and never seemed to mind lending a helping hand. At home, he could often be found relaxing in his favorite recliner, watching Law & Order, with his beloved granddaughter, Brook, nearby and his dog, Chi-Chi, keeping him company.
